Se anuncia la conferencia Numbers in the Universe: Recent advances in Number Theory and its applications como evento inaugural del nuevo International Center for Mathematics in Ukraine. Esta reunión tendrá lugar simultáneamente en la Escuela de Economía de Kiev (ucrania) y en el Centro Matemático Internacional Stefan Banach en Varsovia (Polonia) del 7 al 11 de agosto. El programa incluye los cursos:
–Ergodic theory at the service of combinatorics and number theory, por Vitaly Bergelson (The Ohio State University),
–Analytic prime number theory in the twenty-first century, por Terence Tao (University of California, Los Angeles),
–Old and new ideas in sphere packing, por Maryna Viazovska (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne),
y a los conferenciantes Joanna Kułaga-Przymus (Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń), Mariusz Lemańczyk (Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń), Oleksandr Marynych (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv), Danylo Radchenko (University of Lille/CNRS) y Fernando Rodriguez Villegas (The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste).
Se anima a los estudiantes y jóvenes científicos a participar. Habrá sesiones especiales organizadas para discutir problemas de investigación y aprendizaje planteados por los ponentes. El plazo de inscripción ya está abierto.
